Quebec, in particular, had a great year with ski areas in the province reporting a 5.1% increase in skier visits, compared to a drop in the U.S. of 14%.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Related: <a href=\"https:\/\/snowbrains.com\/comparing-ski-regions-the-upside-down-winter-of-2025-26\/\"><em>Comparing Ski Regions: The Upside-Down Winter of 2025-26<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>During the <a href=\"https:\/\/maneige.ski\/en\/\">Quebec Ski Areas Association<\/a>\u2019s (ASSQ) <a href=\"https:\/\/maneige.ski\/en\/annual-conference-of-quebec-ski-areas\/\">annual conference<\/a> at the end of May, ski areas in the province reported record lift ticket revenue of USD 190.5 million (CAD 263.7 million).<\/strong> Season pass sales grew by 11%, while day ticket sales rose by 7%. ASSQ\u2019s Never Ever Days program, which offers discounted learn-to-ski packages, also recorded a record-breaking 12,500 new participants.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This growth in skier visits is even more impressive considering two of the biggest resorts in the province experienced major operational setbacks.<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/mont-sainte-anne.com\/en\/\">Mont Sainte Anne<\/a> did not open until December 19 due to concerns regarding their lift infrastructure, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lemassif.com\/fr\">Le Massif<\/a> was forced to close for three weeks in the middle of the season due to a labour strike.
