According to <a href=\"https:\/\/steamdb.info\/app\/1085660\/charts\/\">SteamDB<\/a>, 9th June saw the game peak at 167,867 concurrent players.<\/p>\n<p>This is a significant bump, taking it out of the sub-40,000 peak it had been stuck at since the start of the year. It brought back some previously-vaulted content, reversed a few of the worst decisions Bungie made with recent updates (hello, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/destiny-2-can-it-ever-win-lapsed-players-back\">Portal<\/a>!), and even included content initially planned for whatever expansion was being worked on next. It was so involved, in fact, Bungie broke it down over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bungie.net\/7\/en\/News\/Article\/dev_insights_return_of_the_director\">three<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bungie.net\/7\/en\/News\/Article\/dev_insights_weapons_artifacts_focusing_preview\">massive<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bungie.net\/7\/en\/News\/Article\/dev_insights_abilities_armor_preview\">blog<\/a> posts.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"injection_placeholder\" data-position=\"1\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Monument of Triumph launched alongside a restructuring of the game and its DLC on various stores. Everything is now in <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/bundle\/72233\/Destiny_2_The_Collection\/\">Destiny 2: The Collection<\/a>, a bundle that includes all expansions, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/bungie-details-the-very-many-things-being-vaulted-in-destiny-2-this-november\">excluding vaulted content that&#8217;s gone from the game forever<\/a>. It is currently on sale for $25\/\u00a320.29\/\u20ac24.49 &#8211; a steal!<\/p>\n<p>This is a compelling offering that comes with highly-rated expansions going as far back as 2018. The end of Destiny 2 even touched the developer of rival series <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/games\/warframe\">Warframe<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/rebbford\/status\/2064751318330167380\">resulting in the creation of a small tribute<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"injection_placeholder\" data-position=\"2\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The final update has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/DestinyTheGame\/comments\/1u2hiia\/this_is_genuinely_the_best_single_update_to_any\/\">almost universally well-received<\/a>, so it at least means the game is ending things on a high.
