It is slowly taking shape.<\/p>\n<p><strong>On June 8, GORO confirmed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.okko-group.com.ua\/en\/novunu\/holding-news\/goro-stvorit-u-lvivskomu-regioni-novii-turistichnii-klaster\">\u20ac20 million contract with Austrian ropeway giant Doppelmayr Group<\/a> to build the resort\u2019s flagship gondola system, following a May agreement with snowmaking specialist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.okko-group.com.ua\/en\/novunu\/holding-news\/goro-mountain-resort-obrav-svitovogo-lidera-demaclenko-dlia-stvorennia-sistemi-zasnizhennia\">Demaclenko for a fully automated \u20ac25 million snowmaking network<\/a>.<\/strong> Together, the two systems form the backbone of what will become Ukraine\u2019s first large-scale, internationally engineered, year-round mountain resort \u2014 part of a <a href=\"https:\/\/gororesort.com\/en.html\">total strategic investment of $1.5 billion<\/a> across a 15-year, three-phase development programme.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Where GORO Mountain Resort is Located<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>GORO is situated in western Ukraine\u2019s Lviv region, near the villages of Volosyanka and Verkhnya Rozhanka in the Skole Beskids range of the Carpathian Mountains \u2014 137 kilometres from Lviv city and 161 kilometres from the nearest Polish border crossing.<\/strong> The base elevation is 650 metres (2,130 feet), with the resort terrain rising into the forested Carpathian ridgelines above the Slavske valley. The $1.5 billion investment figure represents one of the largest private tourism infrastructure commitments in Ukrainian history.<\/p>\n<p><strong>According to GORO CEO Volodymyr Harazd, destination
