Here it is, folks: the hotly anticipated Peugeot e-208 GTi has been revealed in production form for the very first time. Ooh! Ahh! Etcetera.<\/p>\n

The little electric hot hatch was\u00a0unveiled as a concept<\/a> on the eve of the 24 Hours of Le Mans last year, and now the 2026 edition of the race is upon us this weekend (100 years on from Peugeot\u2019s first appearance, no less) the French brand has decided to mark the occasion by unveiling the real thing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Peugeot claims the finished design is \u201cextremely faithful to the original concept\u201d, and as far as we can tell from the images that have been released from the depths of company HQ, that rings true.<\/p>\n

The claw-mark lights, the funky wheels, the wheelarch detailing, the C-pillar badging\u2026 all are present and correct.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In fact, that interior shot above is exactly the same one Peugeot shared a year ago. Which either means Peugeot was overwhelmed with positive feedback and decided not to change it, or it\u2019s been sat on the finished article for well over 12 months and it was never a \u2018concept\u2019 at all. Hmm.<\/p>\n

We digress. Last year Peugeot divulged that the e-208 GTi would generate 276bhp and 254lb ft; good enough for 0-62mph in 5.7 seconds en route to a vmax of 112mph.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

On Friday \u2013 with a trio of cars on display at Le Mans in predictably patriotic colours \u2013 further performance details will be announced.<\/p>\n
