\n\tIn a memo dated June 4, the center\u2019s attorneys instructed staff to immediately remove Trump\u2019s name from signs, letterheads, and email signatures, restoring the institution\u2019s legal name: \u201cThe John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.\u201d More extensive changes\u2014including removing Trump\u2019s name from the building\u2019s facade, as well as from templates, brochures, and website pages\u2014must be completed by June 12, the memo states.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\n\tThe memo follows a May 29 decision by U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper blocking the name change and preventing the administration from shuttering the Kennedy Center for renovations set to begin in July. After the ruling, Trump took to social media, describing Cooper as an \u201canti Trump Hater\u201d and predicting that the center would \u201csoon be closed, probably never to open again.\u201d<\/p>\n
