That\u2019s because now there is a hyper-exclusive, \u201cmuseum-grade\u201d art show aboard a 236-foot \u201csuperyacht,\u201d and you may yet be able to reserve a suite there.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIn its maiden voyage, the Floating Art Hotel has taken to Monaco Bay, where it is currently anchored facing the famed Monte-Carlo casino (frequented by the likes of James Bond) for the duration (through June 8) of the Grand Prix Formula 1 motor race, the most prestigious such race in the world.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tDescribed by the organizers as a \u201cworld-first concept in art and hospitality,\u201d it was conceived as a \u201ctraveling private members\u2019 club at sea.\u201d After Monaco, it will move to what the organizers call \u201cthe world\u2019s most influential cultural destinations,\u201d which are, apparently, Miami, Hong Kong, and Abu Dhabi.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThere are just 14 private suites, so there\u2019s a guest list of \u201ccollectors, founders, and cultural figures\u201d that is, you guessed it, \u201cstrictly curated.\u201d The environment is, naturally, \u201cdesigned for depth and discretion.\u201d On preview day on Thursday, suites were fully booked; the organizers declined to disclose prices, and say they expect them to be fully subscribed by the weekend, though they\u2019re currently at 80 percent capacity.<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-content-image \/\/  \">\n<figure class=\"o-figure   size-full alignnone lrv-u-max-width-100p\">\n<div class=\"c-lazy-image  \">\n<div class=\"lrv-a-crop-16x9\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"c-lazy-image__img lrv-u-background-color-grey-lightest lrv-u-width-100p lrv-u-display-block lrv-u-height-auto\" src=\"https:\/\/www.artnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/ARTnews-The-Floating-Art-Hotel-Monaco-Edition-20261.png?w=400\" alt height=\"683\" width=\"1024\"><\/div>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"c-figcaption  lrv-u-font-size-12 lrv-u-flex lrv-u-flex-direction-column lrv-u-padding-tb-025\"><span class=\"lrv-u-font-size-14@desktop\">The Floating Art Hotel, Monaco Edition, 2026.<\/span><cite class=\"lrv-u-text-transform-uppercase lrv-u-color-grey\">Courtesy Floating Art Hotel<\/cite><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tGuests have it all: five-star hospitality, a (wait for it) \u201ccurated\u201d wellness program, and exclusive access to Formula 1 races, which they can view from the terrace atop the luxurious Les Caravelles Building, with direct sightlines to the Sainte D\u00e9vote corner, a notoriously tight right-hand turn. Patrons staying in the Owner\u2019s Residence gain exclusive Paddock Club and Pit Lane access on Saturday and Sunday, and \u201cprivate tenders operate day and night between the yacht and the city,\u201d say the organizers, \u201censuring seamless, crowd-free movement throughout.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe exhibition, \u201cStates of Motion,\u201d was developed just for the vessel, and, we are told, approaches movement \u201cnot as image but as condition.\u201d (High concept! So apropos!) Abramovi\u0107\u2019s studio declined to comment to <em>ARTnews <\/em>beyond saying she wasn\u2019t involved. Neshat\u2019s studio said in an email that the artist was not notified of the project and does not know what works are included. Saraceno\u2019s studio did not immediately responded to questions about whether the artist signed off on the project. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe Mon\u00e9gasque edition of the Floating Art Hotel has a starry list of supporters, including Beluga, Bureau of Innovation, Komos Tequila, Armand Philippe, Prices Candles, Prunier Caviar, Soho House, Vibi Venezia, and Steve\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cI spent years producing campaigns for some of the world\u2019s biggest brands, and I kept thinking: what if we applied this level of craft to something that actually brings people together?\u201d said Floating Art Hotel founder Gaelle Jaunay Calendini in press materials. \u201cArt, sport, the sea\u2014and the right people in the same room. The magic happens from there.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tFrench-born, Los Angeles\u2013based Calendini presents herself as a former video artist-turned-\u201cproducer extraordinaire\u201d who has worked on commercial shoots and events.
