President Donald Trump is scheduled to attend Game 3<\/a> of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden on Monday, but he didn\u2019t have much to say about regular fans needing thousands of dollars to enter the building, too.<\/p>\n

StubHub\u2019s cheapest ticket for a single seat to the game between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs was $9,771 as of Friday afternoon. Asked about the high prices by a reporter on Friday, Trump suggested folks who cannot afford to attend should watch at home.<\/p>\n

Game 3 will air live on ABC, so anyone with access to local TV should be able to watch with few obstacles. Streaming services such as YouTube TV and Hulu will also run Monday night\u2019s game.<\/p>\n

Trump previously said New York Knicks governor James Dolan invited him to attend a playoff game, commenting that he was interested in seeing the Knicks play in the finals. Now, for the first time in 27 years, the Knicks will host a finals game.<\/p>\n

The last sitting president to attend an NBA game was President Barack Obama in 2015, when he saw his Chicago Bulls host the Cleveland Cavaliers. Trump will be the first president to attend an NBA Finals game.<\/p>\n

Trump attended the Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles in 2025. In January, he attended the College Football Playoff championship game between Indiana and Miami in Miami Gardens, Fla.<\/p>\n
