If you have ever strapped a camera to your helmet before dropping into a chute, there is a good chance it was a GoPro<\/a>. <\/strong>Now the iconic POV camera company that made action cameras synonymous with skiing and snowboarding has warned investors that its future is uncertain \u2014 and its auditor has raised serious doubts about whether it will survive the next 12 months.<\/p>\n

Go Pro\u2019s auditor, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), raised \u201csubstantial doubt\u201d about the company\u2019s ability to continue operating over the next 12 months.<\/strong> The audit revealed that operating losses, negative cash flow, and debt obligations that could become due if certain financial conditions are not met.<\/p>\n

Investors reacted quickly, and GoPro shares fell from $1.26 on Friday to around $1.10 on Monday and continued to trade near $1.10 on Wednesday morning.<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cOver the past 24 years, GoPro has developed significant technology, IP, and brand assets along with world-class product development and scaled manufacturing capabilities,\u201d Nicholas Woodman, GoPro\u2019s founder and CEO, said in a press release. \u201cWe are excited to work with our advisors to evaluate potential opportunities in various sectors to maximize shareholder value.\u201d GoPro went public in June 2014 at $24 per share, and the stock surged, eventually reaching a closing high of $93.85 later that year and pushing the company\u2019s valuation beyond $11 billion.<\/p>\n
