The team guided me perfectly, I just had to finish the job.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will be amazing to race tomorrow wearing this jersey.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-placeholder-wrapper relative w-full border-t border-b border-border-light col-span-full my-3 md:col-span-10 md:col-start-2\">\n<div class=\"mb-[30px] min-h-[30px] text-center\"><span class=\"font-utility-4 font-medium tracking-[1px] text-neutral-500 uppercase\">ADVERTISEMENT<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Wiebes tops the GC heading into Sunday\u2019s stage 2, a mostly flat 156km race from Roncade to Caorle. However the hopes of Cat Ferguson (Movistar) to land her first-ever grand tour stage win was dashed when she was involved in a crash with 49km covered.<\/p>\n<p>Also tangled up was US road race champion Kristen Faulker (EF Education-Oatly) but while she was able to continue, Ferguson was not.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-placeholder-wrapper relative w-full border-t border-b border-border-light col-span-full my-3 md:col-span-10 md:col-start-2\">\n<div class=\"mb-[30px] min-h-[30px] text-center\"><span class=\"font-utility-4 font-medium tracking-[1px] text-neutral-500 uppercase\">ADVERTISEMENT<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Valeria Curnis (Isolmant \u2013 Premac \u2013 Vittoria) and Sharon Spimi (Top Girls Fassa Bortolo) went on the attack early on and were joined by Sofia Arici (Fantini Wines \u2013 BePink). They had four minutes with 99km left but were hauled back 50km from the finish line.<\/p>\n<p>The sprinters\u2019 teams drove the pace for their various leaders, with UAE Team ADQ prominent for Lara Gillespie.<\/p>\n<p>SD Worx-ProTime then hit the front with 3.8km to go, with Lorena Wiebes raring to land another big win.
