cementing it as one of the best-selling games of the year so far.<\/p>\n<p>Capcom&#8217;s new IP, Pragmata, took the silver, while Pearl Abyss&#8217; Crimson Desert secured third console up 21 percent compared to this time last year. Subscription spending is also up 13 percent year-on-year, while PC content was &#8220;slightly up&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Helped by Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, consumer spending on new physical software grew 44 percent to $96 million compared to a year ago,&#8221; the firm added. &#8220;Year-to-date spending on new physical software also increased by 9 percent.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In terms of the games securing the highest number of monthly players, Fortnite reigns supreme, albeit with a 1.24 million drop in monthly players in April.
