These include new movement improvements, &#8216;apex attachments&#8217; which drastically change what each weapon can do, and perhaps most impressively, a new bullet trajectory system. This removes randomised weapon bloom that previously sent bullets flying semi-randomly from weapons, so it&#8217;s quite the substantial change.<\/p>\n<p>Multiplayer is also bringing back a fan-favourite game mode in Gun Game. This 10v10 mode provides randomised weapons each round as it did in the past, except it takes place on a special new map type this time around. This map is split into three distinct segments, which are randomly changed after each round to keep things chaotic.<\/p>\n<p>While DMZ first appeared in Modern Warfare 2 (2022), that was always <em>technically<\/em> a beta, whereas this will be a fully developed extraction shooter experience. Details on this are sparse at the moment, though it&#8217;ll be playable both in squads and solo. The extraction mode will have changing weather, dynamic military objectives, and hostile forces moving throughout the zone. After the proliferation of games in the genre, headlined by Escape from Tarkov, Marathon, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/games\/arc-raiders\">Arc Raiders<\/a>, it&#8217;s intriguing to see Call of Duty take on the new champion genre in the FPS space.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s an interesting release for the series for multiple reasons, the most obvious of them being the departure from older generation consoles at a time <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/nintendo-explains-switch-2-price-rise\">when affordability is a major hurdle for modern gamers<\/a>.
