The stage is expected to finish around 5:15 p.m. local time in Italy, or roughly 11:15 a.m. ET.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-placeholder-wrapper relative w-full border-t border-b border-border-light col-span-full my-3 md:col-span-10 md:col-start-2\">\n<div class=\"mb-[30px] min-h-[30px] text-center\"><span class=\"font-utility-4 font-medium tracking-[1px] text-neutral-500 uppercase\">ADVERTISEMENT<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>U.S. viewers can stream the Giro d\u2019Italia on <em>Max<\/em>. Canadian coverage is available through <em>FloBikes<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The route features five categorized climbs, including three category 1 ascents and a brutal summit finish at Pila.<\/p>\n<p>The climbing begins almost from the gun with the ascent of Saint-Barth\u00e9l\u00e9my, a 15.7km grind averaging 6.2 percent with ramps reaching up to 13 percent. After a fast descent back toward the valley, riders hit the shorter climb to Doues, ideal ground for an early breakaway.<\/p>\n<p>Back-to-back climbs of Lin Noir and Verrogne loop the route back down to the valley ahead of the final climb to Pila, and many GC leaders could already be isolated.<\/p>\n<p>The final ascent rises for 16.5km at more than seven percent average gradient. The Dutchman didn\u2019t quite have the sparks in the early climbs, but the Alps will put everyone in their place.<\/p>\n<p>Felix Gall enters terrain perfectly suited to recapture his momentum from the early summit finales and reverse his TT losses.
