We know Stellantis has a hell of a lot planned for the next few years<\/a> \u2014 especially here in North America, where it plans to launch nine separate models with sub-$40,000 price tags. Now, we’re getting a better understanding of what those models will be, as Ram is planning not one, but two new vehicles that’ll start below 40-large.<\/p>\n

We already knew the Dakota nameplate was making its comeback following a 16-year hiatus in the U.S., but we now know it’ll be joined by the an even smaller pickup called the Rampage<\/a> as well as a full-size SUV called the Ramcharger, according to The Drive<\/a>. Safe to say, the Ramcharger will cost well over $40,000. Of course, these additions will come in tandem with a slew of performance street trucks<\/a> we just told you about.<\/p>\n

The unibody Rampage \u2014 which looks to be aimed squarely at the mighty Ford Maverick \u2014 was first introduced back in 2023 as a vehicle for South America, as its basically a rebadge Fiat Toro. In 1500 guise, it’ll come with a four-cylinder motor under the hood, The Drive reports, and it should hit our shores by 2030. The announcement came during Stellantis’ Investor Day presentation in Michigan. There’s no word on exactly what’ll change between the car sold down south and the car we’ll get here, but I’d hazard a guess it’ll be beefier<\/em>.<\/p>\n

It shares a platform with the Jeep Compass, according to Mopar Insider<\/a>, which should give it a better ride than more traditional body-on-fram trucks. Right now, it’s expected to be built in Mexico, but that information hasn’t been confirmed quite yet.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

The Dakota is also making its grand re-entrance sooner rather than later, The Drive confirmed. We first told the name would officially be coming<\/a> back in December of last year, but we’re now getting a better idea of a price-point, since it’ll start at under $40,000 and be “most powerful” midsize truck on the market, according to RAM CEO Tim Kuniskis. Mopar Insiders reports that it’s expected to arrive in the U.S. in 2027 as a 2028 model.<\/p>\n

It’ll come alongside the the new \u2014 and confusingly named \u2014 Ram Ramcharger as well. It’s a full size pickup SUV which, I assume, will be related to the Jeep Grand Wagoneer.<\/a> For those keeping track at home, “Ramcharger” was the original name of the extended-range electric Ram 1500 when the fully-electric Ram was called the Ram REV. Then, when the electric Ram was killed,<\/a> Ram renamed the EREV the REV and shelved the Ramcharger name. Now, it’s back on this new SUV. God, I love this company.<\/p>\n

On top of all this, Ram just unleashed its Hellcat-powered Ram 1500 Rumble Bee street truck on the world, which is sick to some and an abomination to other \u2014 exactly where Ram likes to operate.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
