A slice of Marrakech lands in Soho as El Fenn reimagines Broadwick Soho\u2019s rooftop into a sun-drenched, sensory escape.<\/h3>\n

El Fenn is the luxurious hotel mere kilometres away from Morocco\u2019s beloved Koutoubia. But now, it\u2019s coming a little closer to home \u2013 making its mark on London cobble. This summer, it will cascade its throw over the cushions on Broadwick Soho\u2019s rooftop.<\/p>\n

From late June through to August, the hotel\u2019s crown jewel, Flute, will metamorphose into an extension of the Marrakech hotel, in all of its vivacity and high-spirit. It\u2019s a fusion of world-class experiences, taking them to new heights, quite literally.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Think red-and-white stripes with enormous Moroccan lanterns, illuminating bold, maximalist patterns and bespoke tables. This very well could be a sensory overload, but it won\u2019t. Care and curation go hand-in-hand in this quintessentially British take on a North African sanctuary.<\/p>\n

Accompanying this collaboration is an exhibition curated by Hassan Hajjaj and Atay Atelier, the creative minds behind the aesthetics of both hotels. In doing so, they spotlight two contemporary voices who they see as visually grounding the ethos of the two cultural hotspots.\u00a0<\/p>\n

From the ground floor to the very top, the works of both Marrakech-based Ismail Saidy and Nador-based Fatimazohra Serri will adorn the walls and rooms, as well as available to purchase. Ismail\u2019s photography adds to the dreamlike minimalism, showcasing poetry through textile-heavy and solitary figures, while Fatimazohra\u2019s works provide a powerful counterview \u2013 dancing with the nuance of femininity, identity and the body within conservative spaces, especially. This together presents a thoughtful, well-rounded perspective on how Moroccan life is experienced in the modern day.<\/p>\n

Then, of course, there\u2019s the menu. It boasts traditional batbout with smoked aubergine zaalouk, crisp lamb briouats paired with smoked paprika labneh, and charcoal-grilled octopus remnant of a Marrakech afternoon avec le cocktails of your choice \u2013 because you won\u2019t want to stop at one. Hibiscus Margarita, El Fenn Mule and the Marrakech Negroni are amongst its cult favourites.<\/p>\n

And all of this to the soundtrack of an inimitable roster of DJs and musicians bringing the sounds of Morocco to the forefront. Fully immersing all visitors in the country\u2019s traditional rhythms and modern desert blues.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Here, at Broadwick Soho, a true taste of Morocco lies at your fingertips. Consider this your out-of-office, no flight required.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n
