Garros titles is one of the most incredible achievements in tennis history, but can it ever be broken?<\/p>\n<p>The King of Clay won Roland Garros 14 times in 18 years since his maiden title at the French Open in 2005, beating Bjorn Borg\u2019s record by an astonishing 8 trophies.<\/p>\n<p>There were only four years when Nadal did not win Roland Garros during his active playing career, which came in 2009, 2016, 2016, and 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Many believe Nadal will hold that record forever, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tennis-news\/jannik-sinner-warned-there-is-tennis-record-impossible-for-him-to-break\">Adriano Panatta recently telling Jannik Sinner is was \u2018impossible\u2019 to break<\/a>, and now the King of Clay has had his say on the matter.<\/p>\n<h2>More Rafael Nadal news<\/h2>\n<p><a that he will keep the Grand Slam record forever.\u00a0Speaking to Sky Sports Italia during the promotional trail for his new Netflix documentary \u2018Rafa\u2019, Nadal said: \u201cI did it, and if I did it, it\u2019s possible.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat said, it\u2019s true that it\u2019s a difficult record to break. First of all, you have to play tennis for 14 years, and that\u2019s not so easy. And then you have to play very well for 14 years in those two weeks. We\u2019ll see what happens.\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/Carlos-Alcaraz\">Carl0s Alcaraz<\/a> is currently the closest player to breaking Nadal\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/roland-garros\">Roland Garros<\/a> titles record, and he only has two French Open trophies currently to his name.<\/p>\n<p>With the Spaniard not playing Roland Garros this year due to a wrist injury, Alcaraz would have to play and win every French Open until 2039 just to match Nadal\u2019s record.<\/p>\n<p>Alcaraz would be 36-years-old in 2039, so it\u2019s very unlikely anyone of this current crop of players will be able to reach Nadal\u2019s incredible Roland Garros number.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/jannik-sinner\">Jannik Sinner<\/a>, who is currently decimating everyone in his path on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/ATP-Tour\">ATP Tour<\/a>, is yet to win a Roland Garros crown.
