Max Hazan, pr\u00e9parateur bas\u00e9 \u00e0 Los Angeles et reconnu dans le monde du custom pour la qualit\u00e9 artisanale de ses r\u00e9alisations, cherchait un moteur pour une BSA lorsqu\u2019il est tomb\u00e9 par hasard sur un bloc V8 issu d\u2019une Ferrari F355. En le d\u00e9couvrant en personne, il r\u00e9alise que l\u2019unit\u00e9 est plus compacte qu\u2019anticip\u00e9. L\u2019id\u00e9e un peu folle de l\u2019int\u00e9grer dans une moto devient soudainement plausible.<\/p>\n<p>Dix-huit mois de travail plus tard, <a href=\"https:\/\/moto-station.com\/moto-revue\/actu\/une-moto-propulsee-par-un-v8-ferrari-non-vous-ne-revez-pas\/698604\">la HF355 existe<\/a>. Le quatre cylindres en V de 3,5 litres \u00e0 aspiration naturelle, repris directement de la F355, d\u00e9veloppe environ 400 ch pour un r\u00e9gime maximal de 8 500 tr\/min. La transmission est assur\u00e9e par une bo\u00eete s\u00e9quentielle \u00e0 six rapports. \u00c0 sec, la machine annonce 265 kg et une vitesse de pointe revendiqu\u00e9e de 300 km\/h.<\/p>\n<p>Sur le plan architectural, Hazan a fait le choix radical de supprimer tout cadre traditionnel : le moteur Ferrari constitue lui-m\u00eame l\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9ment porteur de la moto. Une section avant en treillis chromoly se fixe directement sur le bloc, tandis que la suspension arri\u00e8re et la bo\u00eete de vitesses sont mont\u00e9es directement en sortie de moteur. La liaison entre le vilebrequin Ferrari et la transmission a n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 plusieurs s\u00e9ries d\u2019arbres cannel\u00e9s sp\u00e9cifiques, les premi\u00e8res versions ayant c\u00e9d\u00e9 lors des essais.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9lectronique a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e de z\u00e9ro, les syst\u00e8mes d\u2019origine Ferrari \u00e9tant incompatibles avec l\u2019usage moto. L\u2019injection et l\u2019allumage sont d\u00e9sormais g\u00e9r\u00e9s par un calculateur AMP EFI MS3Pro. La carrosserie, compos\u00e9e de seize pi\u00e8ces distinctes, est enti\u00e8rement en carbone fabriqu\u00e9 selon des m\u00e9thodes a\u00e9rospatiales, avec l\u2019appui d\u2019un sp\u00e9cialiste des composites ayant travaill\u00e9 pour SpaceX. Les suspensions sont sign\u00e9es \u00d6hlins (fourche FGR, amortisseur TTX), les \u00e9triers Brembo GP4X assurent le freinage, et les roues sont des Marchesini.<\/p>\n<p>Hazan reconna\u00eet lui-m\u00eame que la machine reste g\u00e9rable \u00e0 allure mod\u00e9r\u00e9e, mais que l\u2019ouverture franche des gaz change radicalement la donne. La HF355 vient de trouver preneur pour plus de 500 000 dollars.
