people to slow down and watch the sunset, is taking off, and a new ranking has revealed the world\u2019s best destinations to experience it, from Santorini and Bali to the Amalfi Coast and the Maldives.<br \/>\n    <\/h2>\n<div class=\"c-article-content c-article-content--travel js-article-content\">\n<p>The latest wellness-inspired travel trend, known as \u201cdusking\u201d, encourages people to step outside at the end of the day and simply watch the world slow down as daylight fades and the sun sets. <\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"c-ad u-show-for-mobile-only\">\n<div productive.<\/p>\n<p>Now, new research has ranked the best destinations in the world for the practice, combining atmospheric science, social media demand and travel trends to identify where dusk really delivers. <\/p>\n<p>Tourist internet connectivity company Holafly has released its \u2018Global Dusking Index\u2019 and ranked the best places to experience the phenomenon. <\/p>\n<h3>What is the Global Dusking Index?<\/h3>\n<p>The company\u2019s research mapped the physical science of atmospheric beauty, using four distinct \u201clayers\u201d which ranged from clear skies and light scattering to natural elements and the places travellers are most drawn to. <\/p>\n<p>Each destination received a ranking after scoring in &#8220;atmospheric quality&#8221;, which is the physical science of what makes a sunset vivid, as well as in the &#8220;digital desire signal&#8221; category, which used Google Trends to see which locations UK travellers are actively searching for. <\/p>\n<p>Social amplification \u2013 cultural momentum and visual desirability on TikTok and Instagram \u2013 was a factor, as was examining real travel behaviour to find out where travellers are actually going, not just where they aspire to go. <\/p>\n<p>In the end, these destinations were revealed as the best places to experience dusking. <\/p>\n<h3>Santorini, Greece<\/h3>\n<p>Santorini is on practically every traveller\u2019s bucket list \u2013 and it\u2019s easy to see why.<\/p>\n<p>Atmospheric data reveals that, while the Cycladic island has strong, rather than flawless, skies, much of the pull here is its popularity on Google as well as social media and the number of visitors.<\/p>\n<p>Each year, thousands of people stand on Santorini\u2019s iconic caldera and watch the whitewashed buildings turn moody hues. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a daily ritual which has been experienced by travellers for years, and the study found that the magic here is mostly down to an undeniable, magnetic energy as well as atmospheric superiority. <\/p>\n<h3>Bali, Indonesia<\/h3>\n<p>The &#8220;Island of the Gods&#8221; is world-renowned for its stunning sunsets, and the data shows that a huge data reveals that, while the Cycladic island has strong, rather than flawless, skies, much of the pull here is its popularity on Google as well as social media and the number of visitors.Each year,
