Here is every ski resort still open, or opening this coming weekend, across the continent.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Related: <em><a href=\"https:\/\/snowbrains.com\/why-do-ski-resorts-close-when-their-snowpack-is-still-so-deep\/\" rel=\"bookmark\">Why Do Ski Resorts Close When Their Snowpack Is Still So Deep?<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The season has produced wild swings.<\/strong> Rocky Mountain ski areas closed in March. Snowmaking operations ran in the Mid-Atlantic in April. The mountain recorded <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whistlerblackcomb.com\/the-mountain\/mountain-conditions\/snow-and-weather-report.aspx\">317 inches of snowfall this season<\/a> and has a base depth of 39 inches heading into its final day.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Alberta<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>At Lake Louise, the season wrapped up on May 3.<\/strong> Banff Sunshine Village ran daily operations through May 18, its scheduled closing day, capping one of the most remarkable seasons in the resort\u2019s history.<\/p>\n<p><strong>On May 4, Sunshine Village announced plans to reopen for summer skiing from June 20 through July 5, 2026, citing record snowfall.<\/strong> The <a href=\"https:\/\/snowbrains.com\/closing-weekend-at-banff-sunshine-ab-to-culminate-with-iconic-slush-cup-on-may-long-weekend\/\">Slush Cup event<\/a> closes out spring operations before the resort resets for summer. <a href=\"https:\/\/snowbrains.com\/banff-sunshine-10-meters-of-snowfall-for-2025-26-season\/\">Over 10 meters<\/a>, approximately 394 inches, of snowfall accumulated this season, well above the resort\u2019s annual average of around 600 centimeters (236 inches). After receiving just one inch of snow in March, April delivered four feet. <a href=\"https:\/\/snowbrains.com\/mammoth-mountain-ca-extends-spring-skiing-to-may-31-and-you-can-ski-bike-and-golf-in-one-day\/\">Mammoth is targeting May 31<\/a>, with extensions possible depending on conditions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Palisades Tahoe received 84 inches of snow in April, allowing the resort to extend its season.<\/strong> The resort is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palisadestahoe.com\/mountain-information\/mountain-report#lift-and-trail-status\">running four lifts<\/a> from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily with all access from the base via the Funitel, serving <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palisadestahoe.com\/mountain-information\/mountain-report#lift-and-trail-status\">12 open trails<\/a>, through May 24. Lift operations are gradually consolidating as the season winds down.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Oregon<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Timberline Lodge remains open with two lifts and will continue operating as long as conditions allow, typically well into summer.<\/strong> The resort\u2019s scheduled target date is July 19. No firm closing date has been set.
