Jonathan Anderson\u2019s first Christian Dior Cruise show was a Hollywood glamour feast. From Al Pacino to Miley Cyrus, Lalaland\u2019s biggest mainstays were in attendance for a collection that explored Dior\u2019s long-standing relationship with cinema. Staged at the LACMA, the setting was transformed with vintage Cadillacs and lighting that captured the spirit of old Hollywood perfectly, with guests receiving a movie script instead of show notes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Drawing on the House\u2019s cinematic history, from Monsieur Dior\u2019s 1955 Oscar nomination for Best Costume Design to Marlene Dietrich\u2019s iconic declaration, \u201cNo Dior, No Dietrich!\u201d, Anderson reimagined Dior\u2019s wardrobe for both women and men, inspired by Hollywood\u2019s heartthrobs and divas alike.<\/p>\n

Gowns adorned with Californian poppies and floral motifs, crafted in light yet shimmering fabrics, brought a sense of movement to the collection, worn with the reimagined Bar jacket, while distressed Californian blue jeans were paired with Anderson\u2019s interpretation of the Saddle bag and millinery by Philip Treacy that read \u201cStar\u201d or \u201cDior\u201d. Men\u2019s shirts, meanwhile, featured a collaboration with artist Ed Ruscha.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The result? A collection that we will definitely see shining on the red carpet, or an after party at the Chateau Marmont.<\/p>\n
