The revived Philadelphia Cycling Classic presented by AmeriGas has announced the roster of teams set to compete in the first edition since 2016.<\/p>\n
Race organizers revealed this week a total of 32 teams across the men\u2019s and women\u2019s races, including seven WorldTour level teams total.<\/p>\n
The teams will be competing for equal $75,000 prize purses in both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s races.<\/p>\n
The men\u2019s teams for the Philadelphia Cycling Classic<\/h2>\n
A total of 14 men\u2019s teams are scheduled to compete, including five WorldTour teams, three ProTeams, and six Continental level teams.<\/p>\n
The five WorldTour teams are EF Education-EasyPost, Lidl-Trek, Lotto-Intermarch\u00e9, Jayco-AlUla, and NSN Cycling Team.<\/p>\n
The ProTeams are: Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber, Modern Adventure, and Team Novo Nordisk.<\/p>\n
The Continental teams are APS Pro Cycling by Team Cadence Cyclery, Competitive Edge Racing, Meridian Racing p\/b de la Uz, Nu Colombia, Project Echelon Racing, and Team Skyline.<\/p>\n
The women\u2019s teams for the Philadelphia Cycling Classic<\/h2>\n
The women\u2019s field will have 18 teams competing: two WorldTour, foue Continental, and 12 Domestic Elite<\/p>\n
Canyon-Sram-Zondacrypto and Human Powered Health represent the two WorldTour teams in the race. They are joined by four Continental level teams: Vini Fantini-BePink, XDS China, PatoBike-BMC, and Virginia\u2019s Blue Ridge TWENTY28<\/p>\n
The Field is rounded out by 12 domestic elite level teams: CCB Kenetik p\/b Levine Law Group, 1KFlips-FTP Racing Jakroo Mixed, Aegis x Leaders of Enchantment, Automatic Racing, Competitive Edge Racing, Cyclery Racing-Abacus Data, Fearless Femme Racing pb The Beasley Firm, HigherDOSE | Renova, Kingdom Elite Racing, Milton Revolution Women\u2019s U23 Project, United Cycling, and Team Winston Salem.<\/p>\n
The Philadelphia Cycling Classic returns after 10 years<\/h2>\n
After a 10-year hiatus, the Philadelphia Cycling Classic is returning August 30, once again featuring a 14.4-mile circuit through Philadelphia that hits a number of highlights in the historic American city including the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are thrilled to bring world-class cycling back to Philadelphia,\u201d said Robin Morton, Philadelphia Cycling Classic race director and g4 Productions CEO & co-founder. \u201cThis race has always held a special place in the sport and to see it return with such a strong international field speaks to both its legacy and its future. August 30 will be a celebration of elite competition and the passion this city has for cycling.\u201d<\/p>\n
The women\u2019s race will cover 62 miles (100km) and will roll out at 8:30 a.m. local time. It will be followed by the men\u2019s race at 12:30 p.m. which covers 120 miles (200 km) on the same circuit.<\/p>\n
