Quatre ans de d\u00e9veloppement, 407 cm\u00b3 et deux carburateurs de MotoGP : le Projet 407 d\u2019Egig Performance est une anomalie m\u00e9canique fascinante.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Erich Oberpertinger \u2014 dit \u00ab Egig \u00bb, surnom d\u2019enfance \u2014 a fond\u00e9 Egig Performance en 2017 \u00e0 Klausen, pr\u00e8s de Bolzano. Cuisinier de formation reconverti en pr\u00e9parateur Vespa, il d\u00e9veloppe et fabrique des moteurs deux-temps pour Smallframe avec l\u2019appui d\u2019un r\u00e9seau de techniciens du nord de l\u2019Italie. Sa gamme s\u00e9rie 220 permettait jusqu\u2019ici d\u2019atteindre environ 40 ch de fa\u00e7on fiable. Il en voulait plus de deux fois autant.<\/p>\n<p>Le Projet 407 a mobilis\u00e9 plus de quatre ans de travail et plusieurs milliers d\u2019heures. Le r\u00e9sultat est un monocylindre deux-temps refroidi par air, 90 mm d\u2019al\u00e9sage, 64 mm de course, vilebrequin au tungst\u00e8ne, bielle forg\u00e9e et carter sp\u00e9cifiquement coul\u00e9. L\u2019embrayage de la bo\u00eete 4 rapports est renforc\u00e9 \u00e0 6 disques, et une entretoise aluminium compense les d\u00e9formations de la carrosserie sous l\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration.<\/p>\n<p>D\u00e9but 2026, lors d\u2019un \u00e9v\u00e9nement banc d\u2019essai en Autriche, l\u2019afficheur est pass\u00e9 \u00e0 trois chiffres. Depuis r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9 plusieurs fois en public, le moteur d\u00e9veloppe entre 103 et 104 ch \u00e0 11 000 tr\/min, et jusqu\u2019\u00e0 75 Nm \u00e0 10 000 tr\/min. L\u2019alimentation passe par deux carburateurs \u00e0 tiroir plat de 42 mm issus de l\u2019\u00e8re deux-temps du MotoGP. L\u2019\u00e9chappement, lui, d\u00e9passe d\u2019un m\u00e8tre et demi \u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re \u2014 indispensable pour rester au-dessus des 100 ch.<\/p>\n<p>Oberpertinger \u00e9voque une vitesse de pointe th\u00e9orique d\u2019environ 200 km\/h, mais admet que la Vespa Smallframe bleue des ann\u00e9es 1970 qui h\u00e9berge ce monstre n\u2019a pas encore re\u00e7u les \u00e9volutions de ch\u00e2ssis et freinage n\u00e9cessaires.
