This is the Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster. You can technically describe it as an \u2018automobile\u2019; a means of travelling from point A to point B, like any other automobile. You can also technically describe it as the most powerful roofless Lamborghini ever built.<\/p>\n

But screw technicalities for a moment, because when you\u2019re faced with 1,065 very animated Italian horsepowers being delivered al fresco by one of the world\u2019s last remaining V12 engines, well\u2026 yeah.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It\u2019s of course a roofless version of last year\u2019s Fenomeno Coupe<\/a>, which means a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 restrained within the Revuelto<\/a>\u2019s carbon fibre monocoque and three electric motors (two on the front, one on top of the eight-speed dual clutch gearbox). It also means \u2013 deploying a familiar delivery \u2013 poweeer<\/em>.<\/p>\n

That V12 just happens to be the fruitiest V12 Lamborghini has ever built (824bhp on its own), and together with those e-motors pumps out a whopping 1,065bhp. The 0-62mph dash is dusted off in 2.4s \u2013 just like the Coupe \u2013 0-124mph takes 6.8s, and top speed is over 211mph (340kmh+).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

So it\u2019s not what you\u2019d call lento<\/em>. There are big, fat carbon ceramics attempting to haul in all of that veloce<\/em>, and racing shocks to keep the body in check. Oh, right, the body \u2013 subtle, we\u2019d proffer, Lamborghini dialling down its usual exuberance for this open-air outing.<\/p>\n

We jest. It mad. That shape naturally follows much of the Coupe\u2019s design form \u2013 angry lights, hexagons bursting through the carbon fibre panels, strakes, splitters, fins, blades\u2026 if you can think of something sharp and hexagon-y and of course, Lambo<\/em>, chances are the Fenomeno\u2019s wearing it. That and super sticky tyres on 20in\/21in wheels.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

For the Roadster, Lambo\u2019s put that mighty V12 on display, adding a clear engine cover, while inside you\u2019ll find the similar themes of expensive and exclusive materials, aviation-inspired switchgear, contrast stitching, digital displays, sports seats\u2026 you know the drill. All in, Lambo said it\u2019s only a few kilos heavier than the Coupe.<\/p>\n

Lambo also said this is \u201cone of the most colourful limited edition models Lamborghini has ever built\u201d, utilising what you\u2019d call \u2018all the blue\u2019 and \u2018a bit of red\u2019. It mirrors the first ever Lambo roadster \u2013 something called a \u2018Miura\u2019 (nope, us neither) \u2013 and Bologna\u2019s own colour scheme. Sweet.<\/p>\n

Only 15 of these Fenomeno Roadster \u2018Few Off\u2019 models are being built, and one strongly suspects they will have already been accounted for by the time you read this, such is the Italian brand\u2019s power in this space.<\/p>\n

Because of course, \u201ceach example is conceived as a collectible masterpiece,\u201d according to boss Stephan Winkelmann.
