This follows reports <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/star-fox-and-nintendo-switch-2-price-changes\">Nintendo was facing pressure from investors to increase the price of its Switch 2 console<\/a>, due to concerns about its profitability.<\/p>\n<p>These increases will impact consumers in the US, Canada, Japan and Europe. In the US, Canada and Europe, Switch 2 price increases will come into effect from 1st September, with the changes listed below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>US &#8211; from $449.99 to $499.99<\/li>\n<li>Canada &#8211; from $629.99 to $679.99<\/li>\n<li>Europe &#8211; from \u20ac469.99 to \u20ac499.99<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In Japan, meanwhile, the price of the Switch 2 will increase from \u00a549,980 to \u00a559,980 from 25th May. At this time, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/it-wouldnt-be-a-surprise-if-microsoft-and-nintendo-followed-suit-analyst-reacts-to-playstations-shock-price-rise-as-industry-braces-for-more-uncertainty\">industry analyst and research director at Ampere Analysis Piers Harding-Rolls told Eurogamer it was likely that both Microsoft and Nintendo would follow suit<\/a>, and increase their own prices in the near future.
