battery after an alleged incident that sounds like something out of \u201cMatilda.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-cdce4b015aa13a6d9311c32c6213eee3\" class=\"canvas-block Alvarez<\/strong> put green painter\u2019s tape on a student\u2019s mouth because he allegedly laughed while another student read scripture in class on Monday &#8230; this according to an arrest affidavit obtained by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/news\/homestead-teacher-accused-of-taping-students-mouth-released-from-jail-police-say\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>CBS News Miami<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-91aa173c0477012e3b1dcb7a54bacd52\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block Christian School in Homestead, just south of Miami &#8230; where the alleged victim says he was singled out for causing commotion.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section
