Valve has said its recently released Steam Controller<\/a> sold out faster than expected, as scalpers continue to cash in.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Steam Controller went on sale on May 4 priced $99, and it didn\u2019t take long for Valve\u2019s website to show the dreaded \u201cout of stock\u201d message \u2014 and for scalpers to sell the controller at inflated prices. Some listings sold for in excess of $200.<\/p>\n

Now, Valve has issued an update<\/a>, saying it\u2019s working on getting more stock in, but didn\u2019t say when.<\/p>\n

\u201cSteam Controller ran out faster than we anticipated, and we hate that not everyone who wanted one was able to get it,\u201d Valve said. \u201cWe\u2019re working on getting more in stock and will have an update on expected timeline soon.\u201d<\/p>\n
