From Beyonc\u00e9 and Nicole Kidman to Madonna, Rihanna and Bad Bunny, the 2026 Met Gala brought together music, film, and fashion\u2019s biggest names for a night where \u201cFashion Is Art\u201d invited all kinds of interpretations.<\/h3>\n

It\u2019s (finally!) the first Monday in May, and as tradition dictates, all eyes turn to the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art for fashion\u2019s most anticipated night. The world\u2019s biggest stars, including co-chairs Beyonc\u00e9, Nicole Kidman, and Venus Williams, as well as Madonna and Stevie Nicks, Sabrina or Bad Bunny, gathered at the museum for the 2026 Met Gala.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s exhibition, \u201cCostume Art,\u201d places fashion on the same pedestal as fine art. From May 10, 2026, through January 10, 2027, the museum\u2019s new galleries will showcase hundreds of artworks and garments centered on the dressed body. In harmony with the theme, the evening\u2019s dress code, \u201cFashion Is Art,\u201d invited guests to become living canvases.<\/p>\n

And they delivered. From Kim Kardashian\u2019s sculptural \u201960s-inspired bodice, created in collaboration with Withaker and Malem and British artist Allen Jones, to Hunter Schafer\u2019s Prada interpretation of Gustav Klimt\u2019s Mada Primavesi<\/em>, art was everywhere for those with eyes to see. Some leaned into the anatomical, with Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and Hailey Bieber turning heads in nipple-showing bodices, and others, it could be said, treated the dress code as an invitation rather than an instruction.\u00a0<\/p>\n
