If you’re going to buy such an expensive piece of hardware, I think it’s becoming a no-brainer to insure it.

An extended warranty is another cost for consumers to absorb, but this special LG Premium Care deal offers a super steep discount on this new laptop lineup. One year of LG Premium Care would normally cost anywhere between $130 (for the Gram Books) and $175 (for the Gram Pros).

Purchasing some peace of mind for a couple of hundred dollars’ discount isn’t too shabby — but I wouldn’t rush to shell out thousands of dollars for a warranty deal. Certain laptop configurations also very often go on sale in the months after their initial release, so even if the warranty isn’t this cheap again, the package deal may very well be cheaper at some point in the future.

If you’re looking for a new laptop and one of the six new LG Gram models is calling out to you, preordering one now to take advantage of the special one-year warranty deal isn’t a bad idea.
