Sayers<\/a>\u2019 meticulously crafted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thisiscolossal.com\/tags\/laura-k-sayers\">postage stamps<\/a> nod to connections from afar. The artist, who also illustrates children\u2019s books and is commissioned for special projects like greeting cards, incorporates itty-bitty cuts of colorful paper into tiny tableaux that can fit in the palm of a hand.<\/p>\n<p>Much of the work seen here is currently on view solo in Sayers\u2019 solo exhibition of miniatures titled <em>The Wee Small Hours <\/em>at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/natelier.41\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">N. atelier<\/a>. An array of everyday scenes is chronicled in a format we typically associate with significant events and remembrance, documenting fleeting moments like little treasures. Some of her recent pieces are inspired by the Finnish landscape that emerged during the artist\u2019s stay at the Fiskars Artist-in-Residence program, organized by <a href=\"https:\/\/onoma.fi\/en\/fiskars-air-en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Onoma<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thisiscolossal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/sayers-7.jpg\" class=\"swipebox\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-473535\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1080\" height=\"763\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thisiscolossal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/sayers-7.jpg\" alt=\"A hand holds a small paper artwork resembling a postage stamp, featuring a Finnish landscape with water and trees\" class=\"wp-image-473544\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p><em>The Wee Small Hours <\/em>continues through this weekend in Glasgow.
