Developer Creative Assembly and publisher Sega have been quiet since then, with most people assuming the game has been slowly going through the early phases of development before production ramps up in earnest. Yesterday, which was Alien Day 2026, things changed.<\/p>\n<p>Via <a href=\"https:\/\/bsky.app\/profile\/sega-west.bsky.social\/post\/3mkfmfafkxj25\">social media<\/a> and YouTube, the developer shared a short teaser that sets the atmosphere (as dark and oppressive as you&#8217;d expect) and reveals the horror adventure will (at least partially) take place outside a space station this time. Is this another game choosing to revisit Hadley&#8217;s Hope on the moon LV-426? Not necessarily, as Weyland-Yutani and other corporations have many more colonies spread all over, but the setting sure looks like it. Sega has also set up a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sega.com\/es\/alien-isolation\/comingsoon\">website<\/a> for the game, but no new details have been shared at the time of writing.<\/p>\n<p>You might also think the game will pick up directly after Isolation&#8217;s shocking cliffhanger, yet <a href=\"https:\/\/avp.fandom.com\/wiki\/Amanda_Ripley-McClaren\">Amanda Ripley<\/a> and her allies&#8217; story has continued over the years through comic books (as everyone, including 20th Century Fox\/Studios, assumed for years a game sequel wouldn&#8217;t happen), so chances are some time will have passed between entries and a recap of sorts will be needed.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"injection_placeholder\" data-position=\"1\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>In fact, Survios&#8217; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/alien-rogue-incursion-is-getting-a-non-vr-release-later-this-year\">Alien: Rogue Incursion &#8211; Part One<\/a> (we&#8217;re currently waiting for Part 2) actually continues those comic books&#8217; storyline and directly references Amanda, so if you&#8217;re itching for a tense alien video game while you wait for the Isolation sequel, you may want to check those out.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/games\/alien-isolation\">Alien: Isolation<\/a> sequel has no set release window or confirmed platforms.
