Until the funky new A2 e-tron<\/a> is unveiled later this year, the supremely sensible Q4 e-tron will remain as the entry point to Audi\u2019s all-electric range, and since it first went on sale all the way back in 2021, it\u2019s now facelift time for both the SUV and Sportback versions.<\/p>\n

As you might expect it\u2019s pretty standard facelift fare on the outside, with new customisable LED lights up front and \u2018second-generation digital OLEDs\u2019 at the rear. There\u2019s also a fresh singleframe grille design that\u2019s now colour-matched to the body.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Fairly big changes on the inside though, with an all-new \u2018digital stage\u2019 across the dash that includes an 11.9in dial display, a 12.8in central infotainment screen and an optional 12in touchscreen for the front seat passenger. Apparently, the latter is the largest passenger display available across the entire Audi range, but if that\u2019s still not enough screen action then you can also spec an augmented reality head-up display.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s not really any more dash space to play with, so Audi has snuck in some vertical air vents, while on the centre console underneath there are two wireless phone charging pads and a smattering of actual buttons. Boot space has actually dropped by five litres, but it\u2019s still a healthy 515-litres with the rear seats in place no matter if you go for the proper SUV shape or the coupe Sportback. There\u2019s also now vehicle-to-load tech, meaning you can power external electrical devices like e-bikes or campsite lighting with the high-voltage battery.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Battery options remain as of the 2025 update, with entry level cars getting a 59kWh usable battery and the rest a 77kWh unit. However, Audi does say that updates to hardware and software in the powertrain have improved efficiency by around 10 per cent, so you\u2019re now looking at a maximum range figure of 368 miles in the more slippery, rear-wheel drive Q4 Sportback e-tron Performance. The SUV in the same spec claims 359 miles, while charging speeds have also improved slightly to a max of 185kW in top spec versions. All-wheel drive quattro versions have also seen the towing capacity upped by 400kg to 1,800kg.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
