Thanks to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/timothee-chalamet\">Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet<\/a>\u2019s controversial comments about the highly technical art form going the way of the dodo, the rest of the world came out in force to declare that it was, in fact, not dead. We imagine that, within that group of people, sat London fashion designer Saul Nash, who\u2019s just made his own declarative statement regarding the health of ballet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>This week, acclaimed choreographer Sir Wayne McGregor opened his new show at the Royal Ballet in London, and tapped Nash to design the futuristic costumes. Titled <\/span><em><span>Wayne McGregor: Alchemies<\/span><\/em><span>, the show features the world premiere of a brand new work by McGregor called \u2018Quantum Souls\u2019, which is the performance for which Nash has designed the costumes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cDesigning the costumes was really in collaboration with myself and Wayne,\u201d Nash <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/shorts\/_YPjP8HP_wA\"><span>told<\/span><\/a><span> the Royal Ballet. \u201cIt was really important to create characters, or this idea of the collective, or this idea of collective individualities, so when you look at each costume its really an expression of each individual dancer.\u201d Catch Nash\u2019s costumes at <em>Wayne McGregor: Alchemies<\/em> until May 6, or scroll through the gallery above.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In other fashion news this week, the second weekend of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/tag\/coachella\">Coachella<\/a> brought a whole new round of celebrity style moments, while we also thought about how influencer culture has ruined the festival\u2019s style over time. Now, a fifth instalment of the link-up is hitting shelves next month, and Rocha is the first designer to be let loose on the Soho Sandal, which joins the uber-popular Ballerina platform in the collaborative collection. Thanks to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/timothee-chalamet\">Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet<\/a>\u2019s controversial comments about the highly technical art form going the way of the dodo, the rest of the world came out in force to declare that it was, in fact, not dead. We imagine that, within that group of people, sat London fashion designer Saul Nash, who\u2019s just made his own declarative statement regarding the health of ballet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>This week, acclaimed choreographer Sir Wayne McGregor opened his new show at the Royal Ballet in London, and tapped Nash to design the futuristic costumes. Titled <\/span><em><span>Wayne McGregor: Alchemies<\/span><\/em><span>, the show features the world premiere of a brand new work by McGregor called \u2018Quantum Souls\u2019, which is the performance for which Nash has designed the costumes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cDesigning the costumes was really in collaboration with myself and Wayne,\u201d Nash <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/shorts\/_YPjP8HP_wA\"><span>told<\/span><\/a><span> the Royal Ballet. \u201cIt was really important to create characters, or this idea of the collective, or this idea of collective individualities, so when you look at each costume its really an expression of each individual dancer.\u201d Catch Nash\u2019s costumes at <em>Wayne McGregor: Alchemies<\/em> until May 6, or scroll through the gallery above.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In other fashion news this week, the second weekend of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/tag\/coachella\">Coachella<\/a> brought a whole new round of celebrity style moments, while we also thought about how influencer culture has ruined the festival\u2019s style over time.
