Production has begun on the live-action streaming series Scooby-Doo: Origins<\/a>, Netflix announced Friday. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The streamer also revealed the first look at the core cast of Mckenna Grace as \u201cDaphne Blake,\u201d<\/a> Tanner Hagen as \u201cShaggy Rogers,\u201d Abby Ryder Fortson as \u201cVelma Dinkley,\u201d Maxwell Jenkins as \u201cFred Jones.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

Filming is underway in Atlanta, Georgia on Scooby-Doo: Origins, which Netflix calls a \u201cmodern reimagining of the iconic mystery-solving group of teens and their very special dog.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cDuring their final summer at camp, old friends Shaggy and Daphne get embroiled in a haunting mystery surrounding a lonely lost Great Dane puppy that may have been a witness to a supernatural murder,\u201d according to the official synopsis. <\/p>\n

\u201cTogether with the pragmatic and scientific townie, Velma, and the strange, but ever so handsome new kid, Freddy, they set out to solve the case that is pulling each of them into a creepy nightmare that threatens to expose all of their secrets.\u201d<\/p>\n
