Crunchyroll has announced<\/a> that Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will be available to stream on the anime streaming service starting on April 30. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The announcement follows previous confirmation<\/a> that the film would arrive on streaming this spring, more than six months after releasing in North American theaters. The service did not provide an exact release time, but Crunchyroll has confirmed that the film will be available to stream in both subbed and dubbed formats. <\/p>\n

The streaming release will kick off Crunchyroll\u2019s annual “Ani-May” celebrations, which have previously included Crunchyroll Store deals and a selection of anime being made available for free<\/a>. The celebratory month will culminate with the 2026 Anime Awards, where The Chainsaw Man movie is nominated for Film of the Year<\/a>, in Tokyo on May 23. <\/p>\n

We reviewed the first and (thus far) only Chainsaw Man movie<\/a> ahead of its North American release last October. Writer Rafael Motamayor shouted out some “bonkers fight scenes” and praised it as “a compelling and hauntingly beautiful romance accompanied by one of the best movie soundtracks of the year.” <\/p>\n

The film, directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara at animation studio MAPPA, has grossed over<\/a> $160 million globally, making it one of the highest grossing Japanese animated movies of all time<\/a>. The movie released on digital this past December, and continues to be available to rent or buy on marketplaces like Prime Video<\/a>. Surprisingly, there’s no word on any home video releases. <\/p>\n

Crunchyroll’s announcement comes not long after the conclusion of Tatsuki Fujimoto\u2019s manga. Shonen Jump recently published the final chapter<\/a> of Chainsaw Man after a rather abrupt announcement<\/a>, which was met with mixed reviews<\/a> across the internet.<\/p>\n
