Since her debut single \u201cYa no\u00a0quiero\u00a0n\u00e1\u201d went viral in 2018, Lola\u00a0Indigo\u00a0has shined in her native Spain and beyond, collaborating with international artists such as Mexico\u2019s Belinda, Puerto Rico\u2019s Luis Fonsi and Argentina\u2019s Maria Becerra. With the lattermost, she has released three collaborations, including 2020\u2019s \u201cHigh (Remix)\u201d\u00a0\u2014\u00a0which also featured Tini\u00a0\u2014\u00a0as well as 2022\u2019s \u201cDISCOTEKA\u201d and 2025\u2019s \u201cLA REINA (REMIX),\u201d featuring Villano\u00a0Antillano.<\/em><\/p>\n

The artist\u00a0\u2014\u00a0whose real name is Miriam\u00a0Doblas\u00a0Mu\u00f1oz\u00a0\u2014\u00a0began her career as a professional dancer before venturing into music\u00a0and\u00a0was the first contestant eliminated from\u00a0<\/em>Operaci\u00f3n\u00a0Triunfo when she participated\u00a0in the popular talent show in 2017. Eight years later, she achieved a historic milestone by performing at Madrid\u2019s Santiago Bernab\u00e9u Stadium, cementing her\u00a0superstar\u00a0status, and now she will\u00a0receive the Artistic Evolution Award at <\/em>Billboard\u2018s 2026 Latin Women in Music gala.<\/em><\/p>\n

Below, Becerra praises Indigo\u2019s ability to \u201ctry new things, to step out of her comfort zone.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\n\tIt makes me\u00a0really happy\u00a0to know that Lola is being recognized for her artistic evolution, because I truly feel that\u00a0she\u2019s\u00a0an artist who never stops growing, exploring and pushing for more. And\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0something I deeply admire about her.<\/p>\n

\n\tFrom the very beginning,\u00a0I felt that she\u00a0had\u00a0a very strong\u00a0identity, but at the same time she was always willing to change, to try new things, to step out of her comfort zone. And\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0not easy. In this industry, being able to sustain yourself and keep evolving without losing who you are is one of the hardest things, and Lola does it incredibly well.<\/p>\n

\n\tBut I also want to say something that\u2019s\u00a0really important\u00a0to me: For many years now, I\u2019ve considered her more than just a colleague \u2014 she\u2019s\u00a0a friend (and one of my closest, despite the distance).\u00a0We\u2019ve\u00a0crossed paths during\u00a0very special\u00a0moments in our careers, and\u00a0we\u2019ve\u00a0been lucky enough to share several collaborations together.\u00a0That\u2019s\u00a0something I truly value, and I really hope we have many more ahead of us.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen I was taking my first steps in music on a bigger scale, there was one collaboration that marked a before and after in my career \u2014 and that was \u201cHigh Remix.\u201d I had the honor of sharing that with Tini and Lola, and it was an experience that helped me grow so much, both personally and professionally. I feel like it was a song that marked all three of us, and that also brought us together in\u00a0a very special\u00a0way.<\/p>\n

\n\tSince that moment,\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0always seen her as an artist I deeply admire, but also as a woman who paves the way, who inspires and who encourages others to take risks. She has a strength and determination that you can truly feel, and that goes far beyond the music.<\/p>\n

\n\tFor me, this recognition is more than deserved. It celebrates everything\u00a0she\u2019s\u00a0done, but also everything\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0still ahead of her. Because if\u00a0there\u2019s\u00a0one thing that defines Lola,\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0that she never stands still.<\/p>\n
