\n\tThe U.K.\u2019s Official Charts Company has shared an update for its leadership following the departure of its former chief executive.<\/p>\n
\n\tIn March, Martin Talbot <\/strong>announced that he was stepping down from the role after 18 years. Talbot assumed the position in 2007 and led the OCC \u2014 which tracks music sales in the U.K. \u2014 during a revolutionary tenure which saw the charts adapt to new sales strategies and the introduction of streaming services.\u00a0<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\tRelated\t\t<\/p>\n<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n \t\t\t\t\tOfficial Charts Company CEO Martin Talbot to\u00a0Exit\t\t<\/p>\n<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n \n\tThe Official Charts Company publishes a number of charts on a weekly basis, including the Official Albums Chart and Official Singles Chart, both of which are currently topped by Olivia Dean with her The Art of Loving<\/em> LP and \u201cRein Me In,\u201d a collaboration with Sam Fender.<\/p>\n \n\tIn a memo sent to Billboard<\/em> and a number of clients and partners, Official Charts\u2019 chairman, Drew Hill<\/strong>, shared an update regarding their leadership structure in the coming months.<\/p>\n \n\tWith immediate effect, Chris Austin<\/strong> and Becca Monahan<\/strong> will jointly assume interim leadership of the company as co-managing directors. Hill adds that \u201cChris and Becca will be further supported by Lauren Kreisler<\/strong>, ensuring continuity of senior management team leadership, and a consistent focus across all key areas of the business.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe note continues that over the coming months, \u201cthe board will consider the long term requirements\u201d of the Official Charts, and that it is \u201cvery much business as usual.\u201d Hill also praised Talbot for his leadership over the past 18 years and said \u201chis leadership has helped shape not only the organisation, but the wider UK music and entertainment landscape and we wish him every success in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe Official Charts company reports it is due to launch \u201ca brand new, state-of-the-art data system later this year following the largest infrastructure investment in the company\u2019s history\u201d as part of a new contract with market research comapany Kantar, which was finalized in 2025.<\/p>\n \n\tRead the full memo below.<\/p>\n Dear clients and partners,<\/em><\/p>\n With the recent departure of Official Charts\u2019 CEO Martin, I am writing to share an update about Official Charts\u2019 leadership moving forwards<\/em><\/p>\n Naturally, I and the Board want to recognise Martin\u2019s significant contribution to the Official Charts Company.
