Over the weekend, a gaggle of classic car enthusiasts gathered in Rome\u2019s Centro Storico for the inaugural Anantara Concorso Roma<\/em> to celebrate \u2018La Dolce Vita delle Automobili<\/em>\u2019. Lucky them.<\/p>\n

Alongside the posh privateers with their extremely expensive and historically significant cars, a homegrown Italian manufacturer also turned up. Said carmaker was Lamborghini, and it brought with it a 1972 Miura SV that had recently been restored and certified by its Polo Storico heritage department.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

But hang on, it gets even better, because this particular SV is\u2026 brown.<\/p>\n

Isn\u2019t it wonderful? Lambo officially calls this colour Luci del Bosco<\/em>, and during its three-year restoration programme, \u201cparticular attention was dedicated to the paintwork\u201d. Apparently this particular shade of brown has changed and evolved since its use on the Miura, so it was \u201cnecessary to identify the correct chromatic specification in relation to the year of production of the car\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The exterior shade now pairs perfectly with a retrimmed mustard interior (well, it\u2019s Italian so it\u2019s actually \u2018Senape<\/em>\u2019), and a number of bits were returned back to their original spec, including the extended handbrake, the smaller steering wheel and the hazard warning lights.<\/p>\n

On the outside, the grilles up front and the fins above the hidden door handles were returned to their 1972 spec, and the centrelock hubs were restored, while the correct \u2018Bob-type\u2019 (named after test driver Bob Wallace) exhaust tips were also fitted.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
