\u2018can go ahead as planned\u2019 after the Mein Schiff 4 and Mein Schiff 5 ships safely departed the Arabian Gulf.<br \/>\n    <\/h2>\n<div class=\"c-article-content c-article-content--travel js-article-content\">\n<p>The cruise ships that were stranded due to the Iran war, and subsequent closure of the Strait of Hormuz, have now departed the key ports in the Arabian Gulf region. <\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"c-ad u-show-for-mobile-only\">\n<div class=\"c-ad__placeholder\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"c-ad__placeholder__logo\" src=\"https:\/\/static.euronews.com\/website\/images\/logos\/logo-euronews-stacked-outlined-72x72-grey-9.svg\" width=\"72\" height=\"72\" alt loading=\"lazy\"><span>ADVERTISEMENT<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>On Friday, Malta-flagged passenger vessel Celestyal Discovery departed Dubai, becoming the first cruise ship to transit the Strait since the Iran war began. In a statement Celestyal Cruises also said that the Celestyal Journey ship had departed Qatar&#8217;s capital Doha, confirming the \u201csuccessful and safe transit of both its vessels\u201d through the waterway.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFollowing their successful transit, both Celestyal Discovery and Celestyal Journey are now repositioning to the Mediterranean, where they will commence the upcoming summer season as planned,\u201d Celestyal said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can confirm that all future sailings currently on sale will operate as scheduled, providing our guests and travel partners with confidence and continuity as the company transitions into its Mediterranean deployment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>MSC Cruises said that the MSC Euribia had also departed Dubai after safely transiting the Strait of Hormuz. \u201cThe passage was completed in close coordination with relevant authorities,\u201d MSC said. <\/p>\n<p>The MSC Euribia is en route to Northern Europe and will depart from Kiel, Germany, on 16 May and from Copenhagen, Denmark, on 17 May as originally scheduled. <\/p>\n<h3>TUI cruise ships en route to the Med<\/h3>\n<p>In a statement issued on Sunday, TUI Cruises confirmed that two of its ships, Mein Schiff 4 and Mein Schiff 5, were \u201cheading towards the Mediterranean\u201d after successfully leaving Dubai and Doha respectively. \u201cBoth ships are setting course for Cape Town and will subsequently return to their regular schedules,\u201d the cruise line said. <\/p>\n<p>With the stranded ships now repositioning, the originally cancelled voyages of Mein Schiff 4 from Trieste, Italy, from 17 May and of Mein Schiff 5 from Heraklion, Greece, from 15 May will now go ahead as planned<\/p>\n<p>Wybcke Meier, CEO of TUI Cruises: \u201cThe past few weeks have presented us all with extraordinary challenges. In a statement Celestyal Cruises also said that the Celestyal Journey ship had departed Qatar&#8217;s capital Doha, confirming the \u201csuccessful and safe transit of both its vessels\u201d through the waterway.\u201cFollowing their successful transit, both Celestyal Discovery and Celestyal Journey are now repositioning to the Mediterranean, where they will commence the upcoming summer season as planned,\u201d Celestyal said.\u00a0\u201cWe can confirm that all future sailings currently on sale will operate as scheduled, providing our guests and travel partners with confidence and continuity as the company transitions into its Mediterranean deployment.\u201dMSC Cruises said that the MSC Euribia had also departed Dubai after safely transiting the Strait of Hormuz. \u201cThe passage was completed in close coordination with relevant authorities,\u201d MSC said.\u00a0The MSC Euribia is en route to Northern Europe and will depart from Kiel, Germany, on 16 May and from Copenhagen, Denmark, on 17 May as originally scheduled.\u00a0TUI cruise ships en route to the Med\u00a0In a statement issued on Sunday, TUI Cruises confirmed that two of its ships, Mein Schiff 4 and Mein Schiff 5, were \u201cheading towards the Mediterranean\u201d after successfully leaving Dubai and Doha respectively. \u201cBoth ships are setting course for Cape Town and will subsequently return to their regular schedules,\u201d the cruise line said.\u00a0With the stranded ships now repositioning, the originally cancelled voyages of Mein Schiff 4 from Trieste, Italy, from 17 May and of Mein Schiff 5 from Heraklion, Greece, from 15 May will now go ahead as plannedWybcke Meier, CEO of TUI Cruises: \u201cThe past few weeks have presented us all with extraordinary challenges.
