At the Taipei Cycle Show, the company showed off a new gravel bike called the Tavelo Grow. This time, the bike is so new that even the name is a work in progress.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_983184\" class=\"pom-image-wrap photo-alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"unnamed Tavelo at Sea Otter\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"2400\" height=\"1600\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-983184\" src=\"https:\/\/velo-cdn.outsideonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/DSC_4973.jpg?width=3840&amp;auto=webp&amp;quality=75&amp;fit=cover\"><figcaption class=\"pom-caption\">(Photo: Josh Ross\/Velo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>What isn\u2019t a work in progress is the frame itself, though you will have to decide how to classify it. On one hand, it\u2019s an aero-optimized road bike featuring the expected details: shielded thru-axle terminations, dropped seatstays, an aero seatpost, and aero shaping behind the fork. Tavelo claims wind tunnel testing with a rider measured drag at 290 watts at 45 km\/h.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_983183\" class=\"pom-image-wrap photo-alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"unnamed Tavelo at Sea Otter\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"2400\" height=\"1600\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-983183\" src=\"https:\/\/velo-cdn.outsideonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/DSC_4971.jpg?width=3840&amp;auto=webp&amp;quality=75&amp;fit=cover\"><figcaption class=\"pom-caption\">(Photo: Josh Ross\/Velo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Depending on wheel choice, it could also easily double as a dedicated climbing bike. Think of it as a Specialized Tarmac with massive tire clearance. Like the Tarmac, it uses a standard BSA threaded bottom bracket. It also utilizes through-headset routing to keep the front end clean, and the stack has been increased by a centimeter (548mm) compared to Tavelo\u2019s dedicated aero bike.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_983174\" class=\"pom-image-wrap photo-alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"unnamed Tavelo at Sea Otter\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"2400\" height=\"1600\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-983174\" src=\"https:\/\/velo-cdn.outsideonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/DSC_4958.jpg?width=3840&amp;auto=webp&amp;quality=75&amp;fit=cover\"><figcaption class=\"pom-caption\">(Photo: Josh Ross\/Velo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The real hook, however, is the price. While it isn\u2019t finalized, I pushed the company for an estimate, and got it.
