The honorees include three buzzy miniseries (<em>Adolescence, Heated Rivalry and Dying for Sex<\/em>), an animated comedy series that debuted during the Clinton administration (<em>South Park<\/em>); and two non-scripted documentary programs (<em>Seen &amp; Heard: The History of Black Television<\/em> and <em>Deaf President Now!<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tEach year, Television Academy Honors celebrates programs across numerous platforms and genres that raise awareness about complex issues facing society. Honors are awarded to programming that aired between Jan. 1, \u2013 Dec. 31, 2025. Recipients will be celebrated at a ceremony slated for Wednesday, May 20 at the Television Academy\u2019s Saban Media Center in North Hollywood, California.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cStorytelling is a vital source of information regarding important social issues both locally and globally, and television has increasingly become a powerful platform for knowledge and discourse and a catalyst for social change,\u201d Cris Abrego, Television Academy chair, said in a statement. \u201cWe have selected this year\u2019s Honors winners to celebrate their commitment to educating and motivating television viewers around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThree of these programs \u2014 <em>Adolescence, Dying for Sex <\/em>and <em>Heated Rivalry<\/em> \u2014 were nominated for  Peabody Awards one week ago. <em>South Park<\/em> won a Peabody Award in 2006.
