First with Javier Colon (2011), then with Tessanne Chin (2013), Jordan Smith (2015) and now Jayy.<\/p>\n<p>Over the reality singing competition\u2019s history, Blake Shelton remains the statistically best coach in terms of winning seasons, having crowned a champ from his team in nine of the show\u2019s 27 seasons.<\/p>\n<p>When\u00a0<em>The Voice\u00a0<\/em>premiered as NBC\u2019s answer to <em>American Idol<\/em>, the inaugural cast of coaches consisted of Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Shelton and Cee Lo Green. But it would be one of the original coaches who would take the crown, as Team Blake emerged victorious for the first time since season seven, ending a four-season drought with Texas country crooner\u00a0Sundance Head\u2018s victory over former child prodigy\u00a0Billy Gilman. The \u201cSince U Been Gone\u201d hitmaker\u2019s hot streak continued with her second consecutive win thanks to 16-year-old country singer Chevel Shepherd. Clarkson\u2019s back-to-back victories marked the first time any coach had taken the crown in consecutive seasons since Team Blake\u2019s three-peat back in Seasons 2 through 4.
