\n\tThe band also confirmed the news on Instagram Tuesday, stating: \u201cIt is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Felipe Staiti. His music, his dedication, and his story will remain forever with us and with all those who have been by his side over the years. Felipe\u2019s family wishes to express their gratitude for the outpouring of calls and messages of support they are receiving at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn recent years, Staiti became the de facto leader of Enanitos Verdes following the 2022 death of Marciano Cantero, the band\u2019s bassist and frontman. After Cantero\u2019s passing, Staiti assumed vocal duties along with his role as lead guitarist, keeping the band\u2019s legacy alive while also working to pursue new tours and projects.<\/p>\n
\n\tFormed in the late \u201970s by Cantero, Staiti and drummer Daniel Piccolo, and later expanding to include more members, the band contributed to timeless hits such as the billion-stream \u201cLamento Boliviano,\u201d \u201cLa Muralla Verde\u201d and \u201cLuz de D\u00eda.\u201d Considered one of the greatest Latin rock bands of all time, the group has appeared multiple times on the Billboard<\/em> charts, including Top Latin Albums with\u00a0Pescado Original<\/em>\u00a0(No. 37),\u00a0Tic Tac<\/em>\u00a0(No. 55) and\u00a0En Vivo<\/em>\u00a0(No. 75), and on Hot Latin Songs with \u201cMariposas\u201d (No. 19) and its version of \u201cTu C\u00e1rcel\u201d (No. 44).<\/p>\n\n\tOver the years, Staiti has been highly regarded for his guitar skills and contributions to the Latin rock genre. Outside of Enanitos Verdes, Staiti has pursued solo projects and experimented with various styles of music. <\/p>\n
