down with its curators, who revealed <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/fashion\/article\/69982\/1\/antwerp-six-momu-fashion-exhibition-dries-van-noten-ann-demeulemeester\"><span>six things you might not have known about the Antwerp Six<\/span><\/a><span>. Following that, we caught up with Sonnet Stanfill, the curator of London\u2019s new <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/schiaparelli\"><span>Schiaparelli<\/span><\/a><span> exhibition, who talked us through the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/fashion\/article\/69984\/1\/schiaparelli-fashion-becomes-art-exhibition-london-most-shocking-designs\"><span>five most shocking designs by the label<\/span><\/a><span>, from the early days of Elsa Schiaparelli to Daniel Roseberry\u2019s current reign. And though we\u2019d love to do that with every single exhibit, the truth is that the world\u2019s museums are simply churning out too many for us to handle (we are in a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/fashion\/article\/68403\/1\/are-we-witnessing-the-golden-age-of-fashion-exhibitions\"><span>golden age of fashion exhibitions<\/span><\/a><span>, after all). The first official exhibit dedicated to the Austrian designer, <em>HELMUT LANG. A huge part of this collection was the work of Monsieur <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/christian-dior\"><span>Christian Dior<\/span><\/a><span>, a figure whose work he endlessly admired. The exhibit takes us through the whole history of the label, from Elsa Schiaparelli\u2019s early career as a sportswear designer, to her pioneering trompe-l\u2019\u0153il knitwear, relationships with artists like Man Ray and Salvador Dal\u00ed, all the way up to the blockbuster Daniel Roseberry era. \u201cThe first conversation I had about doing a Schiaparelli exhibition was about seven years ago,\u201d curator Sonnet Stanfill told us at the opening. \u201cWe could never have predicted that, with the appointment of Daniel Roseberry, the house has gone from strength to strength. Following that, we caught up with Sonnet Stanfill, the curator of London\u2019s new <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/schiaparelli\"><span>Schiaparelli<\/span><\/a><span> exhibition, who talked us through the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/fashion\/article\/69984\/1\/schiaparelli-fashion-becomes-art-exhibition-london-most-shocking-designs\"><span>five most shocking designs by the label<\/span><\/a><span>, from the early days of Elsa Schiaparelli to Daniel Roseberry\u2019s current reign. And though we\u2019d love to do that with every single exhibit, the truth is that the world\u2019s museums are simply churning out too many for us to handle (we are in a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/fashion\/article\/68403\/1\/are-we-witnessing-the-golden-age-of-fashion-exhibitions\"><span>golden age of fashion exhibitions<\/span><\/a><span>, after all). A huge part of this collection was the work of Monsieur <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/christian-dior\"><span>Christian Dior<\/span><\/a><span>, a figure whose work he endlessly admired. The exhibit takes us through the whole history of the label, from Elsa Schiaparelli\u2019s early career as a sportswear designer, to her pioneering trompe-l\u2019\u0153il knitwear, relationships with artists like Man Ray and Salvador Dal\u00ed, all the way up to the blockbuster Daniel Roseberry era. \u201cThe first conversation I had about doing a Schiaparelli exhibition was about seven years ago,\u201d curator Sonnet Stanfill told us at the opening. \u201cWe could never have predicted that, with the appointment of Daniel Roseberry, the house has gone from strength to strength. Rather than become the pair\u2019s new abode, the building is now the Fondazione Dries Van Noten, a non-profit institution dedicated to craftsmanship.
