After three seasons on TV, everyone\u2019s favorite murder doll Chucky is coming back.<\/p>\n

Franchise creator Don Mancini revealed this over the weekend at Steel City Con. He\u2019s currently writing the next installment of the\u00a0Child\u2019s Play\u00a0<\/em>franchise, which will reportedly have a \u201cloose connection\u201d to the USA show. Said show, in case you forgot or didn\u2019t know, ended with Chucky and Tiffany\u2014him back in his doll body, her in a prototype Belle doll\u2014leaving with Caroline while the main kids had their souls put into marionette dolls.<\/p>\n

Not counting the 2019 remake,\u00a0Child\u2019s Play\u00a0<\/em>has kept its continuity for decades, and this next movie will function as a reset similar to 2013\u2019s Curse of Chucky<\/em>. According to BloodyDisgusting, Mancini\u2019s aim is to make it in a tone similar to\u00a0Curse\u00a0<\/em>and the first two\u00a0Child\u2019s Play\u00a0<\/em>movies. And most importantly, this next film will be in theaters: Curse <\/em>played theatrically in a few countries, but it\u2019s otherwise a direct-to-DVD movie, as was the follow up Cult of Chucky<\/em>. In fact, the last movie in the original continuity to hit the silver screen properly was Seed of Chucky\u00a0<\/em>all the way back in 2004.<\/p>\n
