But when you try to fight that fate and control every outcome, you can end up suffocating the connection.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tGoing deeper, \u201cit\u2019s about how both fear and control can quietly undo something real. It\u2019s essentially a spin on Robert K. Merton\u2019s concepts of self-destroying prophecy versus the self-fulfilling prophecy also known as \u2018The Prophet\u2019s Dilemma\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFor \u201cMr. Know It All,\u201d Swims reunites with co-writers and producers Julian Bunetta, Ammo, and John Ryan, with additional writing from Eskeerdo and first-time collaborator Ed Drewett.<\/p>\n

\n\tBorn Jaten Dimsdale, in Conyers Ga., in 1992, Swims made his Billboard\u00a0chart debut in 2021, and forced the music world sit up and take notice with 2023\u2019s \u201cLose Control.\u201d In 2025, he was nominated for best new artist at the Grammy Award, and by midyear was a record holder. \u00a0\u201cLose Control\u201d became the first song in the history of the\u00a0Billboard Hot 100\u00a0to spend triple-digit weeks on the chart, as collected its 100th frame on the ranking, for the chart dated July 26, 2025. <\/p>\n

\n\tPreviously, the single surpassed the run of Glass Animals\u2019 \u201cHeat Waves,\u201d which rang up 91 weeks in 2021-22, for the most time spent on the chart since its inception back in Aug. 4, 1958. \u201cLose Control\u201d has now racked up 112 weeks on the tally.<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter Coachella, Swims\u2019 concerts itinerary includes Stagecoach,\u00a0BottleRock\u00a0and\u00a0New Orleans Jazz Fest, and a headliner spot at\u00a0Bonnaroo.<\/p>\n
