It\u2019s peak 1990s.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, Bugatti itself only ever completed one prototype EB112 that went on display at the 1993 Geneva Motor Show. That one was finished in a rather gorgeous deep red with a tan interior, but the company went out of business as two further cars were in development.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-testid=\"HtmlContent\" class=\"MarkUpWrapper-sc-t20i90-0 hQwWlJ\">\n<p>Luckily for us, Monegasque businessman Gildo Pallanca Pastor ran an EB110 SC in competition, and in a search for spare parts he purchased a load of assets from the bankrupt carmaker. This included the two incomplete EB112s, plus their 460bhp 6.0-litre V12 engines and six-speed manual gearboxes. Result.<\/p>\n<p>Pastor had his Monaco Racing Team put together the two other four-doors, and this particular car (chassis #39003) was the final one to be completed in 1999. It remained in his collection until 2015 and was road registered in Monaco, although there\u2019s still only 241 miles on its clock.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-testid=\"HtmlContent\" class=\"MarkUpWrapper-sc-t20i90-0 hQwWlJ\">\n<p>We\u2019re told that the current owner has spent over \u00a332,000 on work in the last few years, but they should cover their costs given that it\u2019s now up for auction at the RM Sotheby\u2019s Monaco sale with an estimate of between \u00a31.3m and \u00a31.75m.
