\n\tSYDNEY, Australia \u2014 Critically-lauded Australian indie rock outfit Body Type joins the roster of King Gizzard\u00a0& The Lizard Wizard\u2019s\u00a0label p(doom) Records.<\/p>\n

\n\tTo celebrate the new arrangement, the post-punk\u00a0four-piece today releases \u201cAnd What Else?,\u201d out through Poison City Records in Australia and New Zealand and via p(doom) Records for the United States, United Kingdom and European Union.<\/p>\n

    \n\t\u201cThe big chorus is a cathartic cry out against feeling insecure in a relationship,\u201d says vocalist and guitarist Sophie McComish of the new song, \u201cthose mental twists your brain makes when statements of adoration make you feel sceptical and unworthy, but simultaneously hungry for more of that sweet stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

    \n\tHailing from Sydney, and formed in 2016, Body Type is comprised of McComish,\u00a0Annabel Blackman\u00a0(vocals and guitar),\u00a0Cecil Coleman\u00a0(drums) and\u00a0Georgia Wilkinson-Derums\u00a0(vocals and bass). They\u2019ve been shortlisted for AIR Awards and the Australian Music Prize; shared stages with the likes of Sleater-Kinney, Warpaint,\u00a0The Pixies,\u00a0Wolf Alice and Fontaines D.C.; and performed at Roskilde,\u00a0Rock Werchter,\u00a0SXSW, The Great Escape\u00a0and more.<\/p>\n

    \n\tFollowing a brief hiatus during which they pursued their own projects, the bandmates reassembled in 2024. \u201cAnd What Else?\u201d is their first release of 2026.<\/p>\n

    \n\tAt p(doom), Body Type\u2019s labelmates include Babe Rainbow, the Murlochs and, of course, King Gizz, which announced the label in 2024. \u201cVery very stoked to have Body Type repping for p(doom),\u201d comments Stu Mackenzie of King Gizzard and p(doom) in a statement to Billboard. <\/em>\u201cYou\u2019re gonna love this track.\u201d<\/p>\n

    \n\tThe record label was started by the members of King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard to \u201cput out their own records and their friends too,\u201d reads a message on its website. \u201cIf you all keep listening to \u2019em, we\u2019ll keep making \u2019em.\u201d<\/p>\n

    \n\tBody Type will support the new release with shows next week at the Sydney Biennale (White Bay Power Station on April 17) and a few show at Melbourne\u2019s Punters Club (April 18).<\/p>\n
