Khan, and Wanda Nanibush\u2014announced that their exhibition would be titled \u201cCoyote Time,\u201d which takes its name from a commission by Alice Bucknell.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIn a statement, the curators said that the list features \u201cartists working across material practice, time-based media, and emergent technologies\u201d who together \u201caddress contested questions of our historical moment around the terms of civic life, displacement, ecological crisis, and the accelerating entanglements of computation and lived experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tBucknell will be joined by several high-profile artists including Glenn Ligon, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Ryan Trecartin and Lizzie Fitch, Petrit Halilaj, Rebecca Belmore, Tom Burr, Tony Cokes, Nicholas Galanin, and Max Hooper Schneider. Two deceased artists will also have their work on view as part of the triennial: painter Juanita McNeely, who died in 2023, and Benjamin Patterson, a founding member of Fluxus who died in 2016.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tA number of the artists showing in Counterpublic are also participating in other major biennials this year. The Whitney Biennial includes Cooper Jacoby, Malcolm Peacock, Margaret Honda, and Ali Eyal, who also featured in last year\u2019s Made in L.A. biennial. Guadalupe Rosales and Carolina Caycedo will be showing in the Venice Biennale next month, while Li Yi-Fan will exhibit at the Carnegie International. Another major site for the triennial is The Ville, a historically Black neighborhood in the city\u2019s north, which will feature works by Cokes, Honda, Dail Chambers, the People\u2019s Art and Recreation Center, and Timmy Simmonds, who has made a series that looks at the history of the local Sumner High School.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cThe <em>Coyote Time<\/em> artist list is decidedly diasporic in scope, reflecting a global outlook while remaining rooted in St. Louis at a moment marked by renewed borders and divisions,\u201d James McAnally, Counterpublic\u2019s executive and artistic director, said in a statement. \u201cArtists and collectives are drawn equally from the exhibition\u2019s immediate neighborhoods and the Global South, bringing multilingual and multifaceted perspectives to questions of civic structures, migration, identity, and technology. Across nearly fifty commissions, <em>Coyote Time<\/em> takes a speculative and socially oriented approach to the moment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto
