it\u2019s about the shift on the valley floor as well. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Emily Bryant, Mono County\u2019s Economic Development Manager, calls it a<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u201cmultisport day\u201d<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> season.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u201cWe are seeing some warm mid-day temps, but early morning on the slopes is perfectly paired with a hike, a bike, or even a paddle\u2014I literally saw people in a kayak on June Lake Sunday afternoon,\u201d<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> she says. Bryant cautions that water temperatures are chilly, since all the water is fresh snowmelt. It is this grit and authenticity that define the community here. It isn\u2019t a polished resort offshoot; it is a remote, small valley where the locals look out for each other.
