and a &#8220;coward&#8221; by individuals online for his part in the race&#8217;s outcome, with them adding that &#8220;he ruined everything&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\" aria-hidden=\"true\">&#8220;I was shocked by it, yes. It was the first time I received hate messages and minor threats,&#8221; said Vermeersch. &#8220;Something like that had never happened to me before. and a &#8220;coward&#8221; by individuals online for his part in the race&#8217;s outcome, with them adding that &#8220;he ruined everything&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\" aria-hidden=\"true\">&#8220;I was shocked by it, yes. It was the first time I received hate messages and minor threats,&#8221; said Vermeersch. &#8220;Something like that had never happened to me before.
