It\u2019s always nostalgic to see \u201990s and early 2000s rom-com queen Cameron Diaz<\/a> back out promoting a new project. And even though she still shines in any new role she takes on, it\u2019s hard not to think about her iconic turns in There\u2019s Something About Mary<\/em>, Charlie\u2019s Angels<\/a><\/em>, The Sweetest Thing, <\/em>and The Holiday<\/em>. That nostalgia felt especially strong when she she appeared on late night television on March 31, wearing a \u201990s-inspired white Calvin Klein suit, complete with her signature pop of red style.<\/p>\n

While Diaz may have moved on from that era (well, maybe not entirely \u2014 she\u2019s set to reprise her role as Fiona in Shrek<\/em>\u2019s fifth installment), she\u2019s still drawing from the effortless, minimalist style that defined it. As she should: her impact on fashion and culture, on and off the screen, is simply undeniable. <\/p>\n

Her \u201990s off screen style<\/a>, specifically, can be seen referenced in more ways than one in her recent look to promote the new Apple TV series, Outcome<\/em>. For starters, Diaz\u2019s oversized, monochromatic suit by Calvin Klein \u2014 the ultimate minimalist label \u2014 felt like a callback to a similar gray menswear-inspired look that she wore in the South of France in 1994. <\/p>\n

As if that weren\u2019t enough evidence that Diaz is her own inspiration, here\u2019s another shot from Paris in 1998, where she wore an almost identical colored blazer. But the real proof? Her love of a red shoe. <\/p>\n
